Ace trotted along the edge of a forest, waiting for excitement. Maybe another horse. A mare would be perfect. He had been alone ever since he escaped the ranch, forced to leave his mother behind after he had finally found her. He thought sadly of his mother, locked it a stall all day. Dixie was a good horse. She'd find him. He knew she would. (( dixie is his mom in case you were confused )) Ace slowed to a walk, glancing around.

Shadow heard the stallions whinney and trotted to where he was. Her dappled grey coat made her very distinct and her long jet black mane shined. She waited for him to acknowledge her.
